Rules
- Members should exhibit respectful and supportive behavior, both inside and outside of Pride.
- Do not come to Pride just to find people to spend “alone time” with.
- Give other members the benefit of the doubt (or, educate before yelling).
- Don’t ask transgender people what their names used to be.
- Politely ask people the proper pronoun; don’t guess.
- Treat all questions regarding orientation, gender identity, and neurodivergence as sensitive issues. Be careful not to out other people in public.
- Make no assumptions.
- LGBTQIA+ is not the only minority.
- Respect bisexual and asexual individuals, as well as allies.
- Avoid making other members feel uncomfortable.
- Let new people take it at their own pace.
- Nobody’s “Not gay enough.”
- Don’t take photos without permission from everyone in the frame. Respect other members’ privacy.
